Elder Scrolls MMO to be Unveiled.

According to a new report on Tom’s Guide, an “industry source” says Bethesda will be announcing an MMO in The Elder Scrolls series this May. Fans have long been clamouring for an MMO set in the TES universe, and if this is true, they’re gonna go berserk.

The report says the game will be called The Elder Scrolls Online (how imaginative) and will be set “several hundred years before” the events of previous games of the franchise. The game will feature three factions, represented by crests of a lion, a dragon and a “bird of prey.”

TES Online will be given extensive coverage during E3 as well as Quakecon, where, according to the report, it’ll be sharing the limelight with Doom 4.

The report also points out that Bethesda’s parent company, Zenimax, is “currently working on an unannounced Massively Multiplayer Online Game (MMOG) title from its headquarters in Hunt Valley, Maryland.” The report didn’t mention any platforms, but we’re guessing it will be for the PC only.

It sure sounds legit, but we don’t know anything for sure. So stay tuned for future updates.

No PvP Arena for Diablo 3 at Launch

Diablo 3 pvp

We should credit Blizzard for their commitment to offer fans the best Diablo 3 but it's really a bad news that when the game is about to release (or announce the release date), the PvP system is still far from satisfaction and thus, this system won't be included in the game at launch. But if you are not interested in PvP at all, you may be happy to see that Blizzard just delays a system, not the whole game again.

The announcement says: As we're counting down the days until we're ready to announce a release date for Diablo III, we've come to realize that the PvP game and systems aren't yet living up to our standards. Today, we wanted to let you know that we've made the difficult decision to hold back the PvP Arena system and release it in a patch following the game's launch. After a lot of consideration and discussion, we ultimately felt that delaying the whole game purely for PvP would just be punishing to everyone who's waiting to enjoy the campaign and core solo/co-op content, all of which is just about complete.

PvP will be added to the game through patch, and according to Blizzard, "multiple Arena maps with themed locations and layouts, PvP-centric achievements, and a matchmaking system that will help you and your team get into fairly matched games quickly and easily" are what you can expect to see in that patch. On top of that, a personal progression system will be implemented, too.

It's not something new that Blizzard dissatisfy with what they have created. Last month Blizzard redesigned Diablo 3's runestone system, and early this year, the developer made numbers of changes to the game including small tweaks such as removal of Scrolls of Identification and big change like character attributes. And just at the same time, Senior Producer Steve Parker left Diablo 3.

It seems that we are not going to see another delay but will you see a Diablo 3 without PvP Arena an unfinished game?
