No PvP Arena for Diablo 3 at Launch

Diablo 3 pvp

We should credit Blizzard for their commitment to offer fans the best Diablo 3 but it's really a bad news that when the game is about to release (or announce the release date), the PvP system is still far from satisfaction and thus, this system won't be included in the game at launch. But if you are not interested in PvP at all, you may be happy to see that Blizzard just delays a system, not the whole game again.

The announcement says: As we're counting down the days until we're ready to announce a release date for Diablo III, we've come to realize that the PvP game and systems aren't yet living up to our standards. Today, we wanted to let you know that we've made the difficult decision to hold back the PvP Arena system and release it in a patch following the game's launch. After a lot of consideration and discussion, we ultimately felt that delaying the whole game purely for PvP would just be punishing to everyone who's waiting to enjoy the campaign and core solo/co-op content, all of which is just about complete.

PvP will be added to the game through patch, and according to Blizzard, "multiple Arena maps with themed locations and layouts, PvP-centric achievements, and a matchmaking system that will help you and your team get into fairly matched games quickly and easily" are what you can expect to see in that patch. On top of that, a personal progression system will be implemented, too.

It's not something new that Blizzard dissatisfy with what they have created. Last month Blizzard redesigned Diablo 3's runestone system, and early this year, the developer made numbers of changes to the game including small tweaks such as removal of Scrolls of Identification and big change like character attributes. And just at the same time, Senior Producer Steve Parker left Diablo 3.

It seems that we are not going to see another delay but will you see a Diablo 3 without PvP Arena an unfinished game?
